Wisdom teeth, which are located at the back of your mouth, occasionally become infected and have to be extracted. If you come to our office with tooth pain and X-rays confirm that your wisdom teeth require extraction, your dentist will thoroughly explain the procedure and let you know what to expect afterwards
Many patients become anxious at the thought of having their wisdom teeth removed. If this applies to you, we can offer you a choice of sedation that will leave you more relaxed before and during the procedure.
Your post-extraction care regimen will include plenty of rest, temporary limitations on what you eat and drink, and keeping the extraction site as clean as possible. Your dentist will provide you with appropriate instructions before you leave our office.
Wisdom teeth that are severely impacted or have a complex root structure may have to be taken out by an oral surgeon. This can be arranged at the practice and we will arrange to get you out of pain and on your way to dental health as quickly and comfortably as possible.
